The University of Toledo designates this enduring activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

For nurses, we are able to issue a certificate of attendance stating the course is AMA approved, which may be eligible for credit. Nurses are responsible for submitting the certificate to their board. Please note only one certificate can be issued for each purchase.

Learning Objectives:

1. Review the timeline of development and labeling in the US and abroad of mechano chemical ablation (MOCA)
2. Describe a thorough conceptual framework of the unique basis of non-thermal dual mechanical and chemical ablation.
3. Identify the pros and cons of MOCA vs. thermal ablation; patient selection and applicability, contraindications.
4. Identify all salient procedural details of MOCA.
5. Review the database of on MOCA – published studies (all observational), select presentations/abstracts.
6. Identify the future trajectory of the device: randomized trials, larger numbers/longer follow-up, dosing issues and technical refinements.
